The RFP, granted by the Institute of Advanced Financial Planners, is that credential. Its central requirement is disarmingly direct: demonstrate that you can produce a comprehensive financial plan to a professional standard. Not recall facts about planning. Plan. It's the practice-validated mark — and among planners who know the landscape, that's exactly its prestige: everyone who holds it has proven the thing itself.
